Leslie Washington a medical billing professional, sometimes referred to as revenue cycle management (RCM) started her career in California in the 80’s, working for a fast pace, high energy, ever evolving Medicare Part B (MAC) Medicare Administrator Contractor.
She thrived in this stimulating environment and excelled within the company. Through the years she was promoted from entry level to unit management.
Leslie graduated with honors in 1983 from the Long Beach College of Business in Long Beach, California where she earned certifications as a Business Analyst and Data Processing Specialist.
She continued her education at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California taking classes in Business Administration, Business Management and Business Accounting.
She has been a member in good standing with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) since 2015 and certifications are pending for Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).
In 2003 both she and her husband relocated from California to Atlanta. She continued her hospital contracts in California until 2008. In 2009 she contracted as a Billing Manager for a small internal medicine practice in Snellville, Georgia until it’s closing in 2017.
Leslie saw this closing as an opportunity to start her own medical billing company, LAW Healthcare Receivables LLC with her husband where they offer a unique niche of services exclusively to the healthcare community.
